9 methods to adjust conveyor belt deviation

product-458-342

The conveyor belt will deviate to the tight end

1. Adjust the tensioning mechanism
When the conveyor belt is running, if it deviates to the same side when it is unloaded or loaded, it means that the tightness of the two sides of the conveyor belt is different. The screw of the tensioning mechanism should be adjusted according to the rule of "running tight but not loose"; if the conveyor belt deviates to the left or right and has no fixed direction, it means that the conveyor belt is loose and not fully tensioned, and the tensioning mechanism should be adjusted.

2. Adjust the roller
If the conveyor belt deviates at the roller, it means that the installation of the roller is not level, the roller moves axially, or one end of the roller is in front and the other end is behind. At this time, the horizontality and parallelism of the roller should be corrected.

3.  Adjust the roller bracket (or frame)
If the conveyor belt always deviates to one side when it is unloaded, the roller bracket on the deviation side should be moved forward 1-2cm along the running direction of the conveyor belt, or the roller bracket (or frame) on the other side should be appropriately raised.

4.  Method of removing sticky objects
If there is material stuck on the drum or roller, the diameter of the part will increase, resulting in an increase in the tension of the conveyor belt, which will cause deviation. The sticky material should be cleaned up in time.

5.  Adjust gravity
If the conveyor belt does not deviate when it is unloaded, but always deviates to one side when it is heavily loaded, it means that the conveyor belt has been overloaded. The position of the receiving hopper or conveyor belt machine should be adjusted to make the conveyor belt evenly loaded to prevent it from deviating.

6.  Replace the conveyor belt
If the edge of the conveyor belt is severely worn or the conveyor belt seam is not parallel, the tension on both sides of the conveyor belt will be inconsistent. The conveyor belt should be re-trimmed or replaced.

7.  Install deviation-adjusting rollers
If two sets of automatic self-aligning rollers (flat rollers or grooved rollers) are installed on the conveyor, the deviation of the conveyor belt can be automatically corrected. For example: when the conveyor belt deviates and rubs against the small stop roller on one side, the bracket on that side should be moved forward along the running direction of the conveyor belt, and the other side should move backward relatively. At this time, the conveyor belt will move toward the side of the stop roller that moves backward until it returns to the normal position.

8. Install limit rollers
If the conveyor belt always deviates to one side, a limit vertical roller can be installed on the frame on the deviation side; in this way, on the one hand, the conveyor belt can be forced to reset, and on the other hand, the vertical roller can reduce the tension of the conveyor belt on the deviation side, so that the conveyor belt moves to the other side.

9. Install automatic deviation correction device
Install an automatic deviation correction device on the conveyor to prevent the conveyor belt from deviating.

That is, add a light sensor at one end and a cylinder at each end. The cylinder is one top and one loose. The gas circuit principle diagram is as follows:
