When does it need to be replaced
High temperature chain lubricating oil can be judged whether it needs to be replaced from the following four aspects: observation of appearance, inspection of lubrication performance, detection of oil product indicators, and consideration of service time and working environment.
In terms of appearance, mainly look at color change and transparency. A darker color may be due to oxidation, aging, or contamination by impurities; a decrease in transparency may be due to the mixing of moisture, impurities, or a chemical reaction. These situations all indicate that the performance of the lubricating oil may have declined, and replacement needs to be considered.
In terms of lubrication performance, an increase in chain noise and running resistance may be caused by a decrease in lubrication performance. The reasons include aging, loss, or contamination of the oil product. At this time, the state of the lubricating oil needs to be checked and replacement needs to be considered.

Structural parameter
Viscosity: It is usually expressed by kinematic viscosity at 40°C. Common viscosity grades are such as 220 mm²/s, 320 mm²/s, etc.
Viscosity index: Generally, the viscosity index is required to be greater than 100 or 150 to ensure the viscosity stability of oil products at different temperatures.
Flash point: The flash point should be relatively high. Generally, it is required to be greater than 240°C to ensure safe production.
Acid value (neutralization value): Generally, it is required to be less than 0.25 mgKOH/g. Individual oil products may be slightly larger, but generally it should also be less than 0.5 mgKOH/g.
Evaporation loss: Some oil products will require that the evaporation loss at a specific temperature (such as 250°C for 1 hour) is not more than 2.5%.
