Lubrication equipment can be divided into two types according to the mode of action: automatic and manual. The grease guns we usually see belong to manual lubrication equipment; while automatic lubrication equipment includes pneumatic, electric, hydraulic and other equipment. These are all pumping methods of lubricating oil, and still need to manually guide the lubricating oil to the lubrication point, so it is not automatic lubrication in the strict sense.
According to the composition of lubricating oil:
1. Thin oil lubrication
The lubricating oil is mainly sprayed directly onto the surface of objects that move against each other or generate a lot of heat, and the two surfaces are cooled or separated to prevent the two objects from generating a lot of heat during the friction process, causing the internal molecules of the objects to deform, causing premature wear, shedding, and deformation. This method is relatively easy to implement, but the economy of lubrication must also be considered.
2. Oil-gas lubrication
The popular explanation is that the oil moves forward with the flow of gas. During the movement of the gas, it will drive a small amount of oil droplets attached to the pipe wall to move forward, and the oil-gas mixture with oil droplets is sprayed onto the friction surface. The way to use this lubrication equipment is the oil-gas lubrication system, which is an economical, fast, efficient and energy-saving lubrication method. my country has fully mastered this technology. Under the leadership of Taiyuan Mining Machinery Lubrication Hydraulic Equipment Co., Ltd., the Secretary-General Unit of the Lubrication Industry Association, many domestic manufacturers have been driven to produce oil-gas lubrication system equipment, which is widely used in the lubrication of guide bearings of high-speed wire rolling mills, the lubrication of roller bearings of plate and strip rolling mills, and the lubrication of bearings of continuous casting machines, etc. Many industrial equipment have applied oil-gas lubrication with good results.
3. Oil mist lubrication
As the name suggests, it is to spray oil on the surface of an object in the form of mist. Because the amount of oil used in this type of lubrication is very low and the oil utilization rate is high, this type of lubrication is also called trace lubrication. It is widely used in deep hole processing, tool cooling, rolling mill roller bearings, etc.
4. Grease lubrication
Grease lubrication (also called dry oil lubrication). During the operation of the equipment, the friction pairs that move relative to each other on the machine are generally processed and have a smooth surface. But in fact, no matter how high the processing accuracy is, the surface of the machine parts cannot be "absolutely" smooth. Under the microscope, they are all high and low, uneven.
If the friction surfaces are under load and in close contact, the protrusions and depressions on the two surfaces will interlock with each other. When the two contact surfaces move relative to each other, the protrusions on the surfaces will collide with each other, hindering the relative movement between the surfaces.
How to avoid the collision between the two surfaces? Then lubrication must be used. When the oil is applied between the two surfaces, an oil film will be generated between the two surfaces during high-speed operation or movement to protect the two surfaces, overcome the collision between the depressions and protrusions, reduce the wear rate of the equipment, and extend the service life of the equipment.
With the advancement of technology, automatic lubrication equipment has developed into program control. Famous manufacturers such as Lincoln in the United States produce automatic lubrication equipment that can pre-enter the lubrication cycle and the required oil volume for each lubrication point according to customer needs. All the workers have to do is to fill the lubricant container regularly. In this way, during the operation of the equipment, the automatic lubrication system will regularly add different amounts of lubricant to different lubrication points according to the program, so that automatic lubrication is truly achieved. Among them, the intelligent centralized lubrication system (computer program-controlled lubrication system) is a high-tech product that fully optimizes and integrates information technology, automation control technology, and lubrication technology. It has outstanding advantages in design ideas, system principles, system structure, and hardware configuration, and completely replaces the traditional single-line and dual-line lubrication systems. Compared with the general dry oil centralized lubrication system, the dry oil intelligent centralized lubrication system has the advantages of multi-point random combination of quantitative oil supply, single-point single-control oil supply, intelligent monitoring, remote centralized management, energy saving and environmental protection.
With the development of industry, more and more companies need to use lubrication equipment, because if companies want to save costs, they must extend the service life of the machinery, and they must lubricate.
