After the conveyor belt is worn, its strength is reduced, which will lead to shortened service life and deviation of the conveyor belt. This article analyzes the wear forms and causes of conveyor belt wear and proposes solutions.
1. Wear between the feed trough and the conveyor belt
The main causes are:
The material falling from the feed trough impacts the conveyor belt. The greater the angle between the feed trough and the conveyor belt, the greater the impact, which will cause strong wear on the conveyor belt.
In order to prevent the material from scattering, the guide plate and the conveyor belt are in too close contact, and the two rub against each other, causing the conveyor belt to wear.
There are harder objects in the material stuck at the feed port, which wears or even scratches the conveyor belt.
Solution:
1. The feed port should be consistent with the running direction of the conveyor belt, and try to be close to the running speed of the conveyor belt when feeding.
2. Install a bar screen in the feed trough. The bar screen can make the fine and soft materials fall onto the conveyor belt first, providing a buffer for the large pieces of material behind.
3. Lower the angle of the feeding chute and install a buffer bed or buffer roller in the feeding section of the conveyor belt.
